We believe that local fresh products and supporting local businesses is important to our customers. To that end we have sourced excellent local producers of grocery products within a 10 mile radius. Here is a short summary of who they are and what they offer.
Chris Rounsevell Butchers
Chris Rounsevell, are a well-established Cornish butchers who believe in quality produce with outstanding flavour. This is delivered through the understanding of animal welfare and the knowledge of breed selection. The welfare and quality of the animals and meat is top of the agenda. All of their meat is prepared in the delightful country shop in Caradon Town situated within view of Caradon Hill, set amongst the breath-taking Cornish countryside. We offer their meats all year round, with special deliveries for Christmas and Easter.

We stock a small supply of the main tea and coffee varieties produced by the Cornish Tea & Coffee Co, for those who just adore their cuppas, or if you suddenly find you have run out and need something for the morning.
Home Farm Cornwall
A local farmer in the Moval area near Looe, supplying deliciously flavoursome chutneys made from vegetables grown on the farm. Also, available from them is goose and duck eggs when seasonal.
Local Apple Juice
Old varieties of Cornish Apple trees are grown in the orchards around our area reaching down into the beautiful Tamar Valley, and there are several who bottle their apple juice for us to supply you. We also have apple trees on our own property which we make into our own apple juice labelled as Marbelle Farm of which small quantities are available for purchase in the autumn.
Leigh Farm Honey
Wildflowers, woodland and arable crops coupled with glorious Cornish sunshine help the bees at Leigh Farm in Blunts to make this delicious honey, available as runny or set in 1 pound jars. Limited stocks of this season’s honey are available, with more to come next year.
Penbugle Organic Chicken Eggs
“We have four flocks of hens, kept in mobile free-range sheds, and with access to hectares of lush pasture to do all the things chickens like doing: having dust baths, scratching, pecking, gossiping … and of course, laying beautiful organic eggs. Unusually, we rear all our own chickens, which is much more labour intensive, but which we believe is ultimately much less stressful for the chicken. Once again, organic accreditation ensures the best quality, and the best welfare standards. You look at our bright-eyed girls with their firm, red combs (the funny bit on top of their heads), proving just how ‘full of beans’ they are.”
The Little Bakehouse
“At Little Bakehouse, every single loaf of our award-winning sourdough bread is hand made using the finest ingredients and baked every day in our on-site bakery. As members of the “Real Bread Campaign” we never use any artificial ingredients, improvers, raising agents or preservatives in any of our breads. Simply great stoneground organic flour, fresh water, sea salt and our active sourdough starter. The end result is wholesome, honest, great tasting & healthier sourdough bread.” Varieties include Rosemary & Sea Salt, Linseed, Rustic Rye, White and the famous Cornish Wholemeal made just from Cornish flours. Based just inside Launceston Town Centre you can’t get any more local than this.
